my dad deleted everything from my computer when he did a backup today from last month...wtf...

why? I have NO EFFING IDEA ARUGHFDSKLFJSDKL

he never asks me about my files NEVER! He always ALWAYS just deletes without my permission and it just makes me so mad UGJFDKLSFJDS

i have nothing on my computer and I seriously will not trust him anymore with going on, i dont' care if he's just using the internet >BU. everytime it's either a stupid firewall or upgrade and my files are killed!!!!

so yeah not feeling pretty great

i was working all night on project giftart and the bulletin for bullet times and now i don't have those files and I have retype and redo everything and all my art stuff, though crappy as they were, well i still kind of needed them. i have reinstall SAI i have to oh god i don't remember what i even lost. I had like hundreds of files and shit *SOBS FOREVER*

OMG!!!!!!!!!

i'd feel murderous. thankfully i'm the only computer-literate person in my house. and my parents know enough NOT to touch the computer (except the internet) without my approval lol.

DX but i hope you start backup data from now-on. just burn everything onto a DVD when they accumulate and save recent files on a USB or something (i do that all the time now cos i've had my computer crash and lost all my old art works and essays that took hours to do).

I feel your pain.

I once deleted basically all my computer programs once. Because there was this random folder with duplicate copies of every program I had, so I deleted the duplicate, which ended up deleting the actual programs. It was horrible. (but I restored them, phew)

Deleted files are like the apocalypse. The only thing is, I was the one who deleted everything by accident, not someone else.

Ah.....way to fail... OTL

Also, I had too many fail incidents where I deleted my art or photos, but I've done it so much that I don't even remember these incidents very well :'D;;;;;

Instead, now, I always backup my files into another computer, lol

Oh thats too bad.

Well probably your next plan of action should be to get an external hard drive; it like a zip drive but has more space. You probably could just store your art files there and unplug it from your computer when you are done using the computer, there for it will not show up on your computer and your dad can't delete the files. My plan may be faulty sorry if it is.
