Submission policy
Revision 1.2May 11, 2008
Who owns the copyright to my work?
By creating something of your own, you own the copyright to it. An exception to this is if you have used other authors' material in the creation of this work (please see "Copyright information" below).
By submitting something, you grant MangaBullet the right to display the work on the site. We will not use your creation for any other reasons other than to promote your work (such as in galleries), but if we ever plan to do so, we will contact you for explicit permission to do so beforehand.
Please note that because MangaBullet's user database is also used for GamerBullet, your creation may, in the future, appear on your profile there.
Copyright information
Any work you submit to MangaBullet must belong to you, unless you have permission from the author of the original creation (such as for photo manipulation or cosplay photography). Any material that does not agree with this term will be subject to deletion. Please see "What types of content are not permitted?" (below) for more information.
By using a Creative Commons license on your work, you agree to the terms outlined in the selected Creative Commons license, and permit authors to perform the designated action as outlined by it.
What types of content are permitted?
MangaBullet allows artists to freely express themselves, with few restrictions placed on what is unacceptable. However, because a portion of our userbase is below the legal age defined by their country of residence, you must make sure any mature content is clearly marked as such, using the mature content option of the submission process.
Items that qualify as mature content include the following:
* Erotic or suggestive imagery
* Exposure of uncensored breasts or genitalia
* Excessive violence or gore
Please be considerate; many users browse from public places, such as schools or work. Any content that falls into an above category or grey area without being marked may be deleted.
What types of content are not permitted?
Artwork created by a party that you do not have the permission of to publish (or does not have a reference to it stated in the description) is not permitted. This includes any of the following:
* Using, in full or in portions, the artwork in your own piece
* Modifying the original artwork, such as by colouring/re-colouring or applying filters
* Tracing (including vector traces)
* Intentional photography of artwork without the artist's permission
Exceptions:
* Logos which are not the picture's main focus
* Unintentional photography of artwork (such as a photo of yourself in front of an artist's table)
* Anything with the author's permission
For special cases, the moderator will decide if something is not appropriate. Artwork that does not abide these rules (and therefore breaks international copyright laws) will be deleted. Severe or repeat offences may result in indefinite account suspension.
Any illegal content is subject to deletion. By submitting illegal content, your user account may be indefinitely banned from the site.
Illegal content consists of, among others, racial hatred/discriminatory imagery, and imageary containing subjects under the age of 18 engaged in either sexually explicit conduct, graphic bestiality, sadistic or masochistic abuse, or sexual intercourse.
Providing you mark it as mature content, we permit photographic works that contain nude subjects. However, if the subject looks underage, your work is subject to deletion, and your account at risk of an indefinite ban. Please contact us with evidence of the subject's age should your work seem questionable.
We do not allow distasteful photography or videography of sexual acts (pornography) to be submitted to MangaBullet, and upon discovery of it, the content will be deleted and your account instantly banned.
This policy may be amended in the future.
