Thank you for voting on the previous poll. An overwhelming majority wishes to have the deadline extension. So keep track!

The new deadline will now be Monday, May 31, 2010, a week before MangaBullet's second birthday! *V*

The Quilt and everyone's comments for the second part of this project will be revealed on June 7th, 2010!

Check wordpress later today and we'll have updated all the patches we have received so far! Thank you!



Objective
This community project is not only focused on boosting overall participation around MB but also for participants to further give back to the community! There will be overall two parts to this project! We will create something special for Eddz,Toad and Marco to show our appreciation of everything they do to make MB super special awesome!

Deadline

This project will span two months until May 31, 2010 for preparation of the final products and allow for everyone who wants to join to be able to! Take your time with it but submit it before the deadline!

Until then, let’s all work hard to continue to be active here on MB even after this project is finished!
What you can do to continue to support MB:

Comment more!
Share your thoughts with other MB peeps and make meaningful comments to those submissions you feel deserve a little more love! Sometimes, comments are valued over favorites!

Join clubs and activities! Or start your own!
Partake at activities currently starting up at ! Manage your own clubs and host activities and contest! Encourage your friends and others to submit fun and exciting stuff! Don’t be afraid to be a little bold in advertising these events!

Commission artists!
Support your favorite artists or do art trades with friends!

Donate!
MB is always in need of funds! You can choose to donate here or buy stuff at the store! Subscribe yourself, a friend, or someone you think really deserves it. They don’t cost much and are super special awesome gifts! Plus, you get to beta test lots of new features here on MB!




Part One: Project MangaBullet Quilt
Those who choose to participate will use the template below to create their unique “patch” for the massive MB Quilt we will all try to put together! The participants will draw themselves in the patch dressed up in MB’s colors and gear up for this project!


About the Template (courtesy of ! )
There is a .psd file with layers for those who have access to photoshop and wish to easily draw their image with layers. The second link is just a blank image template.

The size is 400x400 pixels.
Do not modify the template in any way. Use only the template that is offered.
Do not draw outside the template and preferably, if you downloaded the .psd file, do not cover the stitch marks on the template.

Rules

Who can join?
All MB members are welcome to participate! Yes, even Eddz, Toad, and Marco if they choose!
Concerning the artwork
Please do not modify the template.
Please try to draw yourself or a character in MB colors and accessories!
Each person will only be able to submit one patch into the final product.
(NOTE: You may create more than one patch as a MB meme. The one you choose to submit in the quilt however cannot be submitted on MB.)
The art can be in any style, in any medium! Yes, that includes animation!
Make your artwork appropriate however! Any patch in violation of MB’s terms and conditions will not be included in the quilt.
Can we do a collab?
Yes! You can also form groups if you want to make all your patches to make a square in the quilt! Do you want to be in a specific place on the quilt? See “Submission information.”

Do not submit your patch on MB until we put everything together May 31, 2010.
Be creative but please keep this a secret!

Submission Information

Please make sure you do not submit your piece on MB until we put everything together May 31, 2010!

If using .psd file, save as a .png to retain transparency.

Upload your patch on an imagehosting site.

1. You may PM your patch to any of the moderators patrolling this project.
2. Or you may link it at mangabullet.wordpress.com/2010/01/09/mb-quilt-progress! I made a wordpress.com account for this project! However, you need a password to bypass the protected post where you get to see all the other finished patches!

How do I get the password?
Comment in the forums if you know you’re going to participate or wish to view the progress of this project. You will be sent the password via PM. Type in the password on the protected post on the website and you’ll see information and the patches! Do not share the password with anyone please!

Hey! Can’t we see the quilt being made?
YES! Participants! Again, comment in the forums to get the password.

I want to be at a specific spot in the quilt/ or near my friends!
At any time during these two months you wish to form a group or change a spot, you will be able to see it at the MB Quilt Progress post . Unless you specified by commenting at the website or PMing the moderators, your patch will be lined up in order of who linked the patch first, etc.

Part Two: What I love about MangaBullet

Objective:
Second part is simple! Answer the question: What do you love about MangaBullet?
The finished product will hopefully be made into an animation, where Nami and Teru read out your comments! If you want to participate, please do!

Post your answer at the project website post! The post is password protected and the password is different than the quilt project’s. When you comment in the forums, you will be PMed both passwords! Again, do not share the passwords.
