There's a report that manga-ka Yoshihiro Togashi will begin the continuation of his manga Hunter X Hunter in the combined 5th and 6th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on January 4, 2010.
The last run of Hunter X Hunter was published October 2008 to December 2008, coinciding with Shueisha's publication of the manga's 26th compiled volume.

About time. I hope he finishes it. I've been waiting for so long. I'd say that if he finishes the manga, the anime won't be far behind.
 There's a joke going on around my friends & I that if Togashi gets tired of working on HxH, he might ask his wife to do it for him. That'll be interesting. Gon and the others would look like Sailormoon recruits hehe.

I think there was a false rumor going around a few years back that Naoko would be finishing the series for him.

I'm much more excited that the manga is coming back, as personally I think the original manga is almost always better than the anime, although that is just my opinion. This also means that we'll get to see more work straight from Yoshihiro Togashi and his wonderful imagination. I'm pumped!

Aww, I was hoping for the anime as well! I re-watched the Greed Island arcs not too long ago and would to see more of it animated XD
