Viz announced on Monday that they will start streaming Naruto Shippuden episodes for free on January 2 and will start uploading multiple episodes every week until all of the earlier episodes are online. They will then start releasing new Naruto Shippuden episodes on a weekly basis one week behind the original Japanese air date for free. Viz will also release volumes 34-44 of the Naruto manga between February and April in an effort to keep up with the Japanese volume releases. After April releases, Viz will then start releasing Naruto manga volumes on a quarterly basis
Crunchyroll announced that they will also offer streaming episodes of Naruto Shippuden. Collaborating with TV Tokyo, Crunchyroll will release the latest episode of Naruto within one hour of airing in Japan for Crunchyroll monthly subscribers. Crunchyroll will then allow non subscribers to view the new episode for free, a week after its original air date. This initiative will start on January 8 of next year.
Finally, Joost and Hulu will have the latest Naruto episodes a week after they air on their respective websites.
