4Kids Entertainment announced that they will end their six-year relationship with the Fox Network this year.

The block was originally scheduled to end during September 2009, but 4Kids and Fox have agreed to expire the contract nine months earlier -- in December of this year.

4Kids have also revealed that they've signed an agreement with television network The CW to run a block containing original and licensed cartoons. Alfred E. Kahn, the Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment, stated that the termination of their contract with Fox will allow them "to focus resources" on this new five-hour block.

I wish I could say I was super excited, but... 4kids has been running fox's cartoon block for how many years now? They can't bring back Fox Kids, home of classics like Digimon and Sailor Moon, so... what will happen to Fox? (I'm neglecting mentioning Fox Box for a good reason, FYI)

I think I'm the only one that'll miss 4kids even though I didn't watch their shows since I was in 6th grade. They brought back mad memories. Plus, when you rewatch them these days, you get a pretty good laugh outta them. Now we'll never know how Higurashi's dub will end up like in their eyes. I want more Casey and Friends. :<
