Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari Gets Animation

The Tenchi Muyo! spinoff series Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari has been green-lit for production according to Kadokawa's Newtype Magazine. Masaki Kajishima, the series creator, stated that the spinoff series has been in the making for a decade. The series is to star Kenji Masaki, Tenchi's half brother, going Geminar, a planet where countries have fought wars with weapons called Seikishi which were found in ancient ruins. Kajishima also stated that Kenji was conceived during the original Tenchi Muyo! series.

OKAY, I have an almost undying love for the original Tenchi Muyo!, as it was one of the first animes that got me into anime.

But, omg. Lordy, pleeeeeeease stop beating an already dead horse. I can only hope since it was conceived during the original it won't be terrible. :<
