FHWORHIWE TRADITIONAL ART. For
St. Theresa, classwork set 01, number 06: heartbreaking, featured is OC Alice Bartholomew. My idea behind this: heart+pair of scissors+one day and already vindictive little girl=heartbreaking.
I wanted to color this with highlighters but it made my faber castell bleed.
Used Prang color pencils and a 0.5 mm faber castel, sketched with a regular 0.5 mm lead pencil on a notecard. Yes, a notecard.
I was ok with this, more than ok really, until I finished and compared how I colored the hair to how I colored the paper heart. As a web designer, you'd think I'd be able to edit this so that the hair is less... bright. But nooooo. I did resist the urge to slap on a few textures though, it would have defeated the purpose of spending a few hours on this only to render it practicality unrecognizable from what I got. I scanned the lineart before I started coloring so less bright, more tolerable digital version coming soon. Not tomorrow though, I have to go take a test to get my driver's permit.
