I'd like to comment on how much I love Matt's coat. You made it so ragged, and I feel like it's a symbol of life, or some such nonsense.

Love all the details everyone has mentioned...but seeing the blood on the goggles, the 10 
Matt is walking with a bit of space between him and Mello, with his hand in his pocket, looking a little...uncertain, perhaps? His left arm is not even in the frame, almost as if he's ready to bolt. Afraid of the look on Mello's face, maybe? I know I would be.

You all didn't think I forgot, did you?
Truth is, I've been working on this since I got home from school last night. But because of work, I didn't get around to finishing it until now. I wanted to make something really nice, but it turned into a speed paint, more or less.
This is in honor of the canon death day of Matt and Mello. It's really fangirly of me to have Matt pick Mello up (for lack of a better term) from his place of rest before heading on up to that great detective agency in the sky. But, well, it works because I am very much a fangirl.
I'm pretty happy with this drawing. I had fun drawing Mello with a determined face, not looking back, just looking forward. Dying the way he lived and all that.
It was sad to draw the wounds, but I wanted their... ghosts? Spirits? Whatever they are to reflect their body's condition when they died.
However, I am a sucker for happy endings. So in my head-canon, they'll be healed by the time they get to
At any rate, you boys had a good run. It was fun fangirling over you two while you were alive and getting to see the fandom grow and change.
I'm glad I was in the fandom in time for this day.
