Roleplay. I Haz a Question About It.
8 months agoErm... I haz a question. And this is gonna seem weird.
BUT
If you are roleplaying with someone amazing on IM and you take 45 minutes to post, but you end up writing about 800 words for a single post and it's chock full of stuff and... yeah... is that bad? Cause the other person is waiting a long time and you're sitting there cranking word after word out and you end up writing a shit-ass long post that IS about 800 words and...
AUGH. I'M SORRY! ;__;
Should I make my posts shorter?

Long waits for amazing posts are fine.
As long as you keep typing so that your partner knows you haven't gone off and died. xD

The way i see it long post are only needed in time of action like sex, fighting ,or whatever else. Extending posts about walking in the part is boring.
If you're parterner doesn't say anything it's fine ,but you're unsure just ask them. You don't get anywhere asking people you DON'T rp with. Some people like long posts ,and some don't. I like thing as they are appropriate.

Well, personally I think the better the post (more detail, etc.) the better it is. I like long posts cause it allows me to post long and buff up my writing for future use. But kandismon is right, it really just depends on who you're RPing with and the RP.
I haven't RP'ed for a looooooong time, but I think it depends on the RP itself and who you are RPing with? If your RP partner doesn't mind if it takes you a while before you post, than everything's fine, I guess
(I remember a RP where there was a rule that stated you should write at least a few hundred words before posting it xD)

Seriously man, stop featuring me in so many journals, I’m gonna start feeling like a celebraty or something. You’re fine! For an 800 word post... just... wow.
Words escape me, you’re the amazing one. D: < ♡♡
