Deadline Extended!!! || The Writer's Army - MB Unit

Kaleidoscope is a student-run fiction journal based out of San Diego State University and is dedicated to producing an eclectic collection of today’s creative fiction and art.
It has just recently been decided that our deadline has been extended to March 23rd! We need your submissions – only you can help gain more knowledge on the publishing world! Now’s your time to shine.
Writing Submissions
Hey there everyone! I know the deadline be is going to be tight, but Kaleidoscope is desperately looking for short fiction pieces to publish! We need you! More than one story would be greatly appreciated! The word limit is 250 to 1250 words in a word document. No docx. files will be accepted for compatibility issues!
We are looking for well written prose that can be experimental in nature! It can be thoughtful, outrageous, tragic - you name it! Send it our way and have the chance to leave behind a legacy in a library! Our publication is a one time deal, but it will remain for a lifetime or even LONGER! It will look good in your portfolio and showcase you among many others, thus it will show others that you are the best among the best!!
I know you can do it! Bring out that inner writer and attack the typed pages! We need your writing to grace our blank pages TODAY!!!
Art Submissions
We are still accepting art submissions! We are looking for art that shows great use of media and subject in a unique style! If it is closer to realism, surrealism, or abstraction it will probably have a higher chance of being accepted!
The files must be sent in .jpeg format for good print quality and 300 resolution preferably. The work must be a completed piece unless it is supposed to have an unfinished look! This is very important! It's not only me that you have to impress - you have to impress three other people who are not as appreciative of the arts as I am! If you can impress them - you'll be golden in the art world!
The deadline is March 23, 2011! Please don’t wait until the last minute! We want the chance to sit there are stare are your work for as long as possible!!

After being stuck on the border of being a writer and an "artist," I wanted to take the time to develop the skill I'm better at - writing - and I want to accomplish this with all of you! The club as of right now is run by me and Pigsamurai and we will offer you an assortment of tips and links for publication and writing in general!
TWA has contests/challenges, links, tutorials, and rankings! It may take time to climb the ladder, but it will be well worth it! You'll be comfortable with your writing and have a network of your own to use in the real world!
