So that post-con entry I haven't done yet...

Ohayocon was awesome! XD I cosplayed Mello and JahLoveAngel was Matt. We mostly just hung out the whole weekend. The only pannel we actually went to was "Tales of Con Horror", which was hilarious. Over all the con was a good time.

Cosplay was interesting. I hung out with Angel till about 4 Friday night working on our vests. Too bad I don't have pictures of that. That was probably a sight. Me in full Mello costume except minus the vest and plus Angel's massive, poofy silver coat, sitting at a sewing machine. XD Angel's vest didn't get finished because the fabric didn't want to cooperate. XP And her wig was being an issue, but she might eat me if I get into the results of that. Lets just say they were colourful.

I went with the BGSU Game and Anime Music Ensemble (or the G.A.M.E., which you just lost XD), so that was a little chaotic. We had issues getting down there in the form of two cars breaking down. Our concert went alright, except we had some major techinical difficulties during "One More Soul to the Call." As in, you couldn't hear anything but the guitars, which had so much distortion the notes were indistinguishable. XP Plus we had some drama and one of our singers ended up skipping out on the con entirely. Then on Sunday morning one of our singer/keyboardists fell down a flight of stairs and tore two tendons in her ankle and Sunday afternoon one of our flautists got sick with the virus that was aparently going through the con. Aside from all of that.... With 45 people in our group there was bound to be some chaos. At least it wasn't any worse and for the most part, except for Sunday, the band seemed to have a pretty good time.

Also on the subject of cosplay. I was astounded at how many Matts there were. I was likewise astounded by the lack of Mellos. I think I saw four besides me. Contrast this to the approximately 250 Hetalia cosplayers. But I did have quite a good time with my cosplay. I got a lot of compliments on my costume and one of the Matts (besides Angel) gave me chocolate. XD

Though I did get jumped. That was terrifying. OMFG the crazy, over-obsessed fans need to keep their hands to themselves, stay the f**k off me, and not stalk me. Especially do not attempt to tackle me when I'm carrying my baritone. It's my baby and I will eat you. And DO NOT insult my Matt. >: < *growls* *snuggles Matty* I have a low tolerance for people in general anyway, so that was just..... bleh. I was soooooooooooooooo tempted to eat her. Soooooooooooooooooooooooo tempted.

Anywho... Mello's vest does still need a tiny bit of work, but it's all touch-up. I'd also like to make his coat. The ridiculous, feathery one. I'm obessive and of the opinion that no costume is ever truly done. There's always room for improvement. And I've begun a list as far as the order in which I'll be doing my other cosplays, so they're not just floating around randomly:

1. Mion Sonozaki (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni) - I'm doing both her outfits and will spatter one with blood and leave the other clean. I'm going to have to make a lot of her stuff just because it's odd lengths or strangely coloured, but it should be a good costume to use to learn to sew. Really I think dealing with the 47.5" wig will be the worst part. (Mion's school uniform, Mion's other outfit the girl in black is her twin sister and this is the outfit that would get the blood spatter.) So far all I have for her is her wig and I can use one of Mello's guns. Jeans won't be hard to find, though.

2. Envy (Fullmetal Alchemist) - He shouldn't be too hard, in all actuality. I have his skirt and I know how to do his shirt. The bad bits with him will be binding (since my usual method would show due to how short his shirt is) and his wig. Omg, that wig. That's going to be ridiculous. (Envy) So far all I have for him is his skirt.

3. Honda Kiku, aka Japan or Nihon (Axis Powers Hetalia) - He shouldn't be horrible. I probably won't need a wig, since my hair is about one shade lighter than the right colour and it's cut the same way. I just need to figures out how to do the uniform, though I could be lazy and do his robe. (Japan. And a funny side note, I hate cats.) This costume is still in the planning stage.

4. Zenitsu (MPD Psycho) - This is the one I actually want to do most. I have never seen anyone cosplay from MPD Psycho. Ever. Not one person, online or at a con. Plus I love the series and I love the character. But he's going to be incredibly difficult. His wig won't be too horrible, though his hair is weird. Not Envy weird, though. More a "wtf were you thinking with that haircut?" weird. And I want to get it the right colour, because it's commented on in the series, even if he's never shown in colour. His clothes will be the hard part. I can't buy much of anything for it, save for the boots and the collar. I'm going to have to make all of his clothes, which are outlandish in design and will all be entirely vinyl, polyurathane, or fake leather. That is going to be quite the challenge. So as much as I really want to do this cosplay right now, he's going to have to wait until I learn to sew. (Zenitsu) This costume is still in the planning stage.

These may get moved around a little. For instance, Japan may be moved up, since I'll probably get a lot of help with him from the Hetalia group here at school, since I'm their Japan. But that should be about how it goes.

And this has gotten way too long.
